英文摘要 | One of the most leading dilemmas of the forthcoming years would be shortage of water which is intensified by power plants in arid zones. Actually, cooling section of steam power plant consumes large amount of water in wet cooling tower. In this paper, an innovative configuration of power plant and single effect double lift absorption refrigeration cycle is suggested for saving water in cooling tower. By using this co-generation system, a part of cooling can be done in absorption chiller. The heat source of generators in absorption refrigeration system is supplied by superheated steam which is extracted from low pressure steam turbine. This absorption chiller is constituted by a single effect and a half effect cycle that can operate with low temperature heat source, thereby extracted steam after passing high temperature generator can be reused in auxiliary and low temperature generators of half effect cycle, then returned to steam cycle. This cycle could be beneficial for converting a larger amount of low temperature heat energy into favorable outputs and boosting cooling capacity. A numerical study of extracted steam properties, mass flow rates, back pressure of condenser, components temperature and ambient temperature on consumed water, net power, coefficient of performance, energetic and exergetic productivity was conducted thermodynamically. The results reveal that, if 20 % of condenser rejected heat absorb by the refrigeration cycle, while 3.1 % of net power and 1.25 % of energy efficiency are reduced, but this procedure can save 34 % of water which is large amount of consumed water in cooling process of wet cooling tower. |
