英文摘要 | In recent years, Iran has been dealing with a significant problem. A consistent lack of rainfall, often distributed unevenly across different areas and times. Such weather issues have led to a growing demand for groundwater, resulting in serious social, economic, and engineering challenges in various regions. This study focuses on a thorough examination of the practicality of constructing a reservoir in Kariyan village, located in the Hormozgan province, capable of storing nearly one million cubic meters of runoff water. Various engineering analysis techniques were employed to understand critical parameters that determine the effectiveness of such infrastructure. These parameters include rainfall pattern, rate of evaporation, water pricing, the permeability of the reservoir, local geography, and proximity to the area where the water is needed. This research not only sheds light on the specific case of Kariyan village, but also provides a useful framework that can be applied to similar situations elsewhere. By adopting this comprehensive approach as a practical model, regions grappling with similar water resource challenges can improve their water management, reduce potential negative impacts, and move towards sustainable solutions. This study offers practical insights and strategies to improve water management in arid regions, facilitating sustainable solutions to address water scarcity challenges and minimize negative impacts on communities and ecosystems, also offering practical insights and strategies to ensure the preservation of this essential resource for future generations. |
