英文摘要 | Ecological restoration of arid and semi -arid zones involves several challenges due to the complex interactions between biotic and abiotic factors, that affect successional processes and the dynamics of these ecosystems. In this work we evaluated the formation of canopies with two short -cycle species of legumes, Lupinus mutabilis and Vicia benghalensis, to create regeneration nuclei that will overcome biotic and abiotic barriers to restoration. Six plots were made for each species with different sowing densities at distances of 40 and 60 cm. The variables measured for the treatments were: height, survival rate, percentage of coverage and physicochemical and microbiological soil analysis. Survival rate was 54 %, expected heights were not reached (< 30 cm), coverage percentages were low (< 15 %) and there were no significant differences between growth rates of the treatments (p > 0.05). The main results are reported in soil with changes in N, K, Mg, Ca and microbial activity. Water stress at the time of the experiment is the main growth restriction. Changes at soil support the use of these species for the initial formation of herbaceous nuclei, so it is recommended the use of techniques to overcome the water deficit barrier, to improve the effectiveness of this strategy in the ecological restoration of the southern part of Macizo de Iguaque. |
