英文摘要 | Zircon grains from syenogranite of Wadi Ras Abda area were studied to identify the geochemical behavior of REE and trace elements during magmatic crystallization and hydrothermal processes and reconstruct timing of events. Zircon grains are elongated and long prismatic crystals. The internal structures in cathodoluminescence images show patchy and black zones of darker rims, with bright cores of zircon grains. Patchy zones contain micro-sized pores and fractures. The black zones are depleted in Li, but have marked enrichment in non-formula elements (P, Ca, Sr, Nb and Ba). The black zones of zircon are strongly altered and contain higher abundances of U, Th, Hf, sigma REE, HREE and Th/U ratio than the patchy zones. An estimated temperature of about 748 degrees C for syenogranite was obtained from a Ti-in-zircon thermometer. U-Pb age of the magmatic crystallization for syenogranite is 609 +/- 2 Ma, and the age of hydrothermal event is 126.8 +/- 2.0 Ma. |
