英文摘要 | A germplasm collection of sweet cherry cultivars has been studied for several years in order to know which of them are more suitable for the climatic conditions of the Region of Murcia. The collection comprises 77 cultivars coming from different origins such as France, Hungary, Italy, Spain, and the USA. In 2007, all of the cultivars were grafted on 'Mariana 2624' rootstock using 'Adara' as an interstock. Phenological dates, fruit quality traits, and productivity have been recorded since 2009 to determine which cultivars are better adapted to the semi-arid conditions present in southeastern Spain. After selecting the most adapted cultivars, verification of the genetic identity of the cultivars is advisable in order to select a group of cultivars which maximize genetic diversity and minimize conservation costs. Molecular techniques provide assistance when it comes to designating this representative selection. However, it is important to select a minimum set of markers which allow to establish a difference between cultivars and to reduce laboratory costs while increasing effectiveness. For this study, microsatellites (SSR) were selected as markers, considering that generated results could be compared between laboratories. In a first analysis, a set of 12 markers recommended by the European Cooperative Programme for Plant Genetics Resources (ECPGR) was used, but this group of markers was not valid to establish a distinction between all the cultivars. Thus, we included more markers to try to make a discrimination between all of the studied cultivars. Moreover, we include three linked markers with important quality traits that generated useful information for breeder's work. |
