英文摘要 | The objective of this work is to study the simultaneous effect of external shading devices and their configurations on indoor environments of a building under an arid climate conditions. To achieve this purpose, a typical residential building was selected to evaluate the effect of these parameters on the indoor temperatures of the different zones of the latter. A series of simulations were performed using EnergyPlus simulation program to see the effect of shading in each scenario and to determine the most favorable shading device configuration. It has been found that the shading of the windows (transparent parts of the building) of our case study and in an arid climate remains insufficient to protect the habitat from summer overheating caused by exposure to intense solar radiation, and remains unfavorable to take advantage of solar gains during the winter period. |
