英文摘要	Fissidens sublimbatus Grout, a species described from North America, and the recently described F. eremicus J. Guerra & J.A. Jimenez, known from southern Iberian Peninsula, North Africa and the Canary Islands, are characterized by the presence of dimorphic stems. The smallest stems, with 4-5(6) pairs of leaves are female fronds with archegonia and/or sporophytes, and the largest ones, with up to 22 pairs of leaves in F. sublimbatus, have been described as sterile fronds in this species. A meticulous study of the larger stems in both species, involving careful extraction of the stems from the soil and subsequent washing by shaking and centrifugation, has shown that these larger fronds correspond to male plants which carry perigonia at their base. In both species, the male stems have more or less buried perigonia with a very short perigonial branch and generally immature perigonia, hardly visible, or sometimes in pairs or isolated on a long and well-developed perigonial branch. Finally, it has been shown that the partially buried stems can sprout from one year to the next and regenerate isolated or small groups of perigonia. Therefore, a new sexual system is reported in the diverse typology of sexual structures in Fissidens Hedw.
