英文摘要 | Many countries in the middle-east have an arid climatic region with high ambient temperatures and humidity. A pilot project was conducted in the year 2017 in Abu Dhabi UAE for industrial use of atmospheric water in far deserts. The outcome of the project was very satisfactory and the process generated sufficient potable water for people working in these remote areas. The project reduced the cost of providing water to such remote areas using water tankers or water pipelines and also the loss of water during transportation to such remote areas. Further, the excess water generated was marketed as bottled drinking water. Taking reference from this, the same technology can be implemented in many remote areas in India and across the globe to solve the emerging water crisis. The case study of this pilot project has been presented in this paper. The present paper attempts to present the atmospheric water generating technology in real time perspective taking example from a recently completed project. (C) 2020 Elsevier Ltd.
