英文摘要The aim of this study is to approach the figure of the traveler, adventurer and pioneer of Egyptology Giovanni Battista Belzoni. Specifically, our interest focuses on his travels and discoveries in the Egyptian Eastern Desert, especially regarding two of the most important archaeological sites in this area in Greco-Roman times: Berenike and Wadi Sikait. From the data offered by Belzoni, we will try to analyze the journeys within this desert and, at the same time, highlight the importance of his contribution to the knowledge of the structure of this territory of Egypt in classical times.
