| 英文摘要 | Pierced by the crises of neoliberal government regimes in Latin America, 2666 by Roberto Bolano (2004) reflects, during the turn of the century, how power controls and creates entire populations. The reproduction of capital gets mixed up with the mass production of economic refugees, abandoned and in a permanent state of exception within a biopolitical territory where the law has been suspended. Landfills, vacant lots and the outlying districts of Santa Teresa in 2666, where maquiladoras rise up in the background from the Sonora Desert, create an ecosystem of fear; an eminently biopolitical space from which the neoliberal State has withdrawn its control and left it to the forces of the free market and organized crime. These are unmapped black holes where the living dead of global capitalism vegetate. The violence exasperated by the market acts upon the feminine body. This violence aligns the novel with the forces that configure the present: the market is like a desert, where the creation and reproduction of capital are confused and intermixed with the traditionally feminine role of creating and reproducing life. |
