英文摘要From the perspective of Heidegger' s existentialism, this paper attempts at an exploration of the artistic features and existentialist implication of the yijing or ideo-imagery of void, in such poems by Robert Frost as Desert Places, Acqainted with Night, Neither Our Far Nor in Deep, and Most of It. Yijing or ideo-imagery of void is the harmonious combination of the scene and personal feeling, embodiment of Frost' s tenet of revelation of the meaning in contextual situation, and also in accordance with Heidegger' s idea of understanding the nature of Dasein in real situation. Hence the perfect harmony of poetics and philosophy. The loneliness and fear conveyed by the yijing of void are actually man' s experiencing and understanding Dasein. The speakers or people in these poems try to seek the object of sight and hearing, put emphasis on the action of seeing and expression so as to resist the void, and overcome the sense of loss, loneliness and fear.
