英文摘要	Skeletal remains from an earthen lair near the hominid site in Fish Hoek, Western Cape Province, South Africa, are documented. Analysis of the contents suggests this accumulation was collected and heavily impacted by porcupines (Hystrix africaeaustralis), with a secondary contribution by leopards (Panthera pardus). Sex, age and body part profiles are provided for the more abundant taxa. Results indicate that porcupines, within a given size range, are relatively unbiased surveyors of the osteological landscape and that they select body parts and species illustrative of the community in which they reside. Several of these conclusions regarding the nature of porcupine accumulated faunas support those first made by Brain (1980). The impact of leopards, as reflected in species, sex and age profiles of prey as well as punctate wounds in the cervical region of ungulate prey, may also be diagnostic. The recognition of such criteria further contribute to the growing dialogue in distinguishing the activity of humans from those of other bone accumulators.
