英文摘要	This article analyzes the role of clerics in Peru in the implantation of the Colonial order during the 16th century. The authors address various cases of relationships between these religious officials and the distribution of positions in the Indian doctrine and the role that they played in the doctrine market. In this context, they examine the itinerary of pastoral and economic activities developed in the territory of Tarapaca, presenting the repertoires of two of the first doctrinal priests: Marcos Giles de Valdelomar and Francisco Churron de Aguilar. Based on a repertory of unprecedented sources found in the General Archive of the Indies (Seville), they explore the activities undertaken by clerics in the Andean desert, where evangelistic projects were linked to the service of the economy that assignees had in the nascent Colonial society, and not necessarily the catechism of the indigenous peoples.
