英文摘要 | The new genus Graziaphylus is described to include two new species, Graziaphylus joceliae and G. nigripes. This new taxon is part of a large suite of Heteroptera from Australia known to feed on species of Eremophila (Scrophulariaceae), including other members of the Miridae as well as the Tingidae. The appearance of Graziaphylus spp. is similar to that of Xiphoidellus Weirauch and Schuh from Australia, and to Chlamydatus Fieber from the Northern Hemisphere (among other genera), but with scalelike setae, and elongate pulvilli adnate over most of the claw length, and the distinctive structure of the male genitalia. Fieldwork in Australia over the last 25 years has documented the extensive association of species of Miridae (Schuh & Schwartz, 2016) and Tingidae (Cassis & Symonds, 2008, 2011; Symonds & Cassis, 2014) with the speciose genus Eremophilia R. Br. (Scrophulariaceae) in arid regions of the continent. In the present paper we increase the size of that guild of phytophagous insects through the description of a new genus and two new species of phyline Miridae. The new taxon Graziaphylus joceliae is named in honor of Jocelia Grazia, our longtime friend and professor at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, Brazil, in recognition of her 75th birthday. Jocelia has been a driving force in improving our taxonomic knowledge of New World Pentatomoidea, in understanding relationships, distributions, and morphology in the group, and in the training of many students who have carried on |
