英文简介The existing soil data in the Heihe River Basin include two categories: soil sampling data collected by various research projects within the major research plan “Integrated research of eco-hydrological processes over the Heihe River Basin”, and legacy soil maps originated mainly from the second national soil survey conducted in 1980s. Both datasets do not follow strictly standardized field sampling and description procedures and standards as well as lab analytical methods, resulting in difficulties for data sharing. They are also coarse in both geographical and parameter spaces so do not meet the requirements of eco-hydrological modeling, for example, resulting in problems in calibration of parameters of eco-hydrological models and large uncertainty in runoff modelling. To address these issues, this proposed study plans to carry out data integration of existing soil data, including point data and legacy soil maps, and soil environmental data obtained from geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing techniques. The objectives are: to develop a methodology for standardizing soil sampling data without uniform field sampling and description procedures, and to produce standardized, accurate soil dataset and containing key soil hydrological properties with complete coverage of the Heihe River Basin. This study can not only promote the deep understanding of soil spatial variation characteristics in northwest inland arid region, but also provide user-friendly and most updated soil s information for the modelling of eco-hydrological processes.
