英文简介 | Based on tracing methods of Nd-Sr isotopes, contents and trace elemental compositions of carbonate minerals, and the dating of detrital zircon grains, the applicant has researched on the provenance of Asian dust, which has provide a primary constrain on the eolian source of Chinese loess and linked the spatial and temporal changes of dust source to the tectonic reconfiguration, climate change and anthropogenic activities. The applicant also developed a reverse calculation model of carbon cycle based on marine isotopic records, which has revealed a seesaw balance for Cenozoic carbon cycle. The seesaw balance model may help to solve the balance problem associated with the hypothesis of uplift driven climate change. Totally 15 papers has been published by the applicant as first and/or corresponding authors in SCI journals such as Geology, which have been cited by 183 times. The PhD thesis of the applicant, which is based on source tracing of Asian dust, is granted as national excellent doctorial dissertation. Recently, the applicant has found that the trace elemental compositions of a type of pure pedogenic carbonate (microcodium) may be served as quantitative proxy for paleo-precipitation, which has clear geochemical bases and advantage of rapid analyzing. This project will continue the paleo-climate research of microcodium by exploring the proxy-system in details and extending the paleo-precipitation records to Pliocene. |
