英文简介 | Tibetan Plateau is a region with best developed mountain glaciers in the middle and low-latitude. Glacier is the important water resources for industry and agriculture production in arid area of Northwest China. Glaciers snowline altitudes is an important indicator of glacier changes formation and evolution. Research of the snowline altitude focused only on a single glacial or small region at present. Our study base on the high temporal and spatial resolution remote sensing images and Digital Elevation Model data, and convert the pre-processed remote sensing data into broadband albedo. We classify the glacier surface in the late summer melt season into snow cover zone (accumulation area) and bare ice zone (ablation area) according to the difference between ice and snow albedo, furthermore, decide the snowline altitude and analyze the accuracy of snowline altitude, and finally real the spatial and temporal variations in the snowline altitudes of the glaciers in the Tibetan Plateau. Moreover, we combine the meteorological data to discuss the snowline altitude response to the climate. The study have important significance to estimate glacier mass balance, understanding of regional climate change, reconstruction of the paleoclimate and assessment of glacier ablation process and its impact on water resources. |
