英文简介The relationship between biodiversity and ecosystem function and its response to natural environment and interference factors are the hotspot issues of today's ecology, but previous studies mostly focused on responding to the overall level changes of environment and interference factors, and ignored the effect of spatial heterogeneity of these factors. Soil resource heterogeneity is widespread in natural grassland, and it influences the relationship between plant diversity and ecosystem function. In this study, the controlled experiment is to simulate the community of the Stipa krylovii steppe in Hulun Buir, Inner Mongolia with the starting points of the two important attributes of heterogeneous - patch scale and contrast. Different patch scale and contrast of soil habitats are designed in the experiment, at the same time, simulation plant communities of steppe are established in these soil habitats. After three years of observation and measurement, the effects of patch scale, contrast and their interactions on plant species richness, functional group richness, functional trait diversity and community productivity will be analyzed, and try to reveal the response pattern and mechanism of relationship between plant diversity and productivity to soil nutrient heterogeneity. The results of this project are expected to promote the research and theory development on biodiversity-ecosystem function relationship as the new dimension on spatial heterogeneity of environment factors.
