英文简介The processes of carbon cycling in wetlands have been affected by increasing nitrogen (N) input derived from anthropogenic activities, and concern is growing over the effects of nitrogen input on carbon stability. So far, the overwhelming studies concentrated on the relationships between the amount of N addition and the stability of soil organic carbon (SOC). However, much less information is known how various N forms affect the stability of SOC in coastal wetlands. Here, we will conduct a suite of field and laboratory incubation experiments to investigate the relationships between nitrogen forms and SOC stability in the reed wetlands of Yellow River Delta. We will investigate the effects of nitrogen forms on the fixation of carbon dioxide, the allocation of carbon and nitrogen in plant organisms, litter decomposition, soil autotrophic and heterotrophic respiration, Q10 value of the mineralization rates of SOC fraction, and soil enzyme activities. The aims of this research were to elucidate the responses of carbon cycling in coastal wetlands to nitrogen forms, and to try to discover their mechanisms. Based on this research, we can further know the relationships between nitrogen availability and SOC stability, and offer the proofs for the management of SOC pool in coastal wetlands.
