英文简介The photochemical processes and microbial degradation of chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM) are crucial for the research of aquatic eco-systems and the precision estimation of water quality remote sensing. To date, the studies have been widely carried out on CDOM optical properties and the parameterization of remote sensing in inland water, however, CDOM distribution, removal, and the transformation process in plateau lakes in cold and arid regions, especially in saline lake, were less investigated. The carbon storages in saline lakes are higher than freshwater lakes, and saline lakes play an important role in global carbon balance estimation. The percentage of saline lakes is more than 80% in Inner Mongolia plateau lakes. Thus, this research based on the northeast area of Inner Mongolia plateau, proposed to illuminate the effect of photochemical reaction and microbial degradations on the space-time distribution, optical properties, fluorescence properties, and composition of CDOM in typical plateau lakes. Meanwhile, the correlation between water quality parameters of plateau lakes and CDOM optical properties was also investigated. The implementation of the proposed project will promote our understanding and accumulate the knowledge of CDOM light absorption characteristics, sources and transformation process in plateau aquatic ecosystems. The potential findings from the study could be beneficial to evaluate the influence of photochemical and microbial processes on the fate of CDOM in inland water, and it also has significances to establish and perfect the source-migration pattern and transformation mechanism of DOM in inland water.
