英文简介 | Badain Jaran desert is located in the central Alxa Plateau which is one of the five high sand-storm incidence areas. It is the place where sand storm of China must pass when moving northwards and the forefront for forecasting the weather of lower reaches. Because of its significant geographic location and the distinguished surface features, it is highly needed to study its land-surface processes and key surface physical parameters to improve the regional land-surface models. Therefore, this project is planned to conduct field observations for key parameters of mass and energy exchange between land surface and atmosphere at the shifting sand surface of Guaizi Lake area in Badain Jaran desert. Based on the in situ observations, we will further evaluate and refine a remote sensing model to improve the inversion of the land surface water-energy processes and key physical parameters. This study will improve our understanding of the mechanisms of land surface processes in desert area and provide reasonable parameterization scheme for land surface model. |
