英文简介Aerosols play an important role in global climate change. It remains as an urgent issue that how to effectively obtain comprehensive and representative observation data about essential properties of aerosols. With the problems of sparse observation stations, inefficient observation instruments and week comparisons of observational data etc, we plan to develop a new ground aerosol mobile integrated observation system in this study. This observation system will use various impactors to obtain different size aerosols and the observation instruments will be well integrated in series or parallel, which can be essential for the contrast and mutual verification between the instruments. This mobile system can be quickly set up in the field and obtain high quality observation data. A field campaign will be carried out in Gobi desert of northwestern China to test and improve this system. An aerosol optical closure study will be done with the comprehensive observation data to explore the method of data quality control. The essential properties of different size aerosols, such as scattering and absorption properties, mass concentration and particle size distribution, and so on, will be analyzed. This data will be valuable for validation and improvement of numerical simulation and satellite retrievals.
