英文简介Water-saving agriculture need to be developed because of underground water over-extraction in North China Plain. While hybrid millet has the potential of water-saving and high-yield. However, we found that hybrid millet has higher empty-percentage than traditional millet in our early study. This study intend to reveal the distribution rule of empty grain in ear, and the enzyme-hormone regulation mechanism of assimilate synthesis in leaf, transfer between source and sink and re-synthesis in grain after flowering. With the method of changing water and fertilizer condition of soil, source to sink ration, promoting or restraining hormone synthesis and isotopic tracer, we want to clarify the supply and demand relationship between source and sink after flowering. Activity of enzyme will be measured in filling process. This study aims to analyze the relationship between distribution and enzyme activity, assimilate distribute ration and enzyme and the differences of responds to hormone among enzymes. Through the way above, this study will firstly reveal the distribution of empty grain of hybrid millet, the responds character of balance between source and sink to water and fertilizer of soil, and illuminate the enzyme-hormone regulation mechanism of filling process of hybrid millet after flowering. The results will be significant to produce the high yield and water-saving advantage of hybrid millet in arid area.
