英文简介In order to get deeper understanding on wind erosion at landscape scale in the Xilingele grassland, overlay analysis based on Geographical Information System (GIS) is employed to identify the wind erosion units and their spatial pattern in the Xilingele grassland, and wind velocities, wind directions, dust transport and deposition are monitored at field in different wind erosion units of the landscape system. Surface soil samples and undisturbed soil samples are collected in each wind erosion unit. Soil physical and chemical properties are measured in laboratory, and soil erodibility of each wind erosion unit is calculated. Threshold wind velocity for wind erosion of each wind erosion unit is measured by wind tunnel experiments on undisturbed soil samples. Then, three dimensional wind fields under different wind strength are simulated by Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) model, and the simulated wind fields are integrated with the land surface parameters such as soil erodibility and threshold wind velocity. Wind erosion risk and wind erosion potential are calculated. Quantitative evaluation in the Xilingele grassland landscape system is then achieved, and the wind erosion process and spatial pattern are understood.
