英文简介 | Cynanchum komarovii is a typical desert plant with strong drought resistance. However, the molecular mechanism of its drought resistance is still unknown. Our previous results showed that trehalose is the main osmotic adjustment substance in Cynanchum komarovii under drought stress. To further explore the role of trehalose in Cynanchum komarovii response to extreme drought stress, trehalose contents and the drought indicators are measured treated with or without trehalose inhibitors. The expression of trehalose-6-phosphate synthase (TPS1), trehalose-6-phosphate phosphatase (TPPA and TPPB) and trehalase (TRH) genes in transcript and translation level will be detected to explore the molecular mechanism of drought-induced trehalose increase. The quercetin contents will be measured through HPLC after drought stress, the trehalose contents and the expression of TPS1, TPPA, TPPB and TRH genes will be investigated in Cynanchum komarovii with or without quercetin inhibitors to study the role of quercetin in drought resistance. The results of this project will provide a scientific basis for further studies on the mechanism of arid plants response to drought stress. |
