英文简介This project is about to measure the electric fields and charged hydrometeors in thunderstorms on Tibetan plateau by utilizing self-designed balloon-borne instrument, including the type of hydrometeors by camera imagings and charge on individual particle. The sounding data will be used to analyze the charge structure of thunderstorm, the vertical distribution and density of hydrometeors, charge polarity and charge on individual particle, respectively. The main purpose of the observation is to study the relationship between charge structure and charged hydrometeors and try to find the predominant charged hydrometeors in charge region. In addition, In order to analyze the distribution and evolution of each type hydrometeors in whole thunderstorm, a vehicle-mounted X band dual polarization Doppler radar will also be involved in field observation, and the fuzzy logic hydrometeor classification method is applied to distinguish the type of hydrometeor, This is helpful to analyze the predominant particles in different charge region and well understand the charging mechanism. Based on observations, a 3D cloud dynamic model coupled with charging mechanism will be employed to further study the interrelationship between charge structure, microphysical and dynamical field of thunderstorm.The study results have important scientific value on understanding the origin of charge structure and charging mechanisms of thunderstorm.
