英文简介Desert ephemeral plants Compare to other desert ecosystem, Gurbantunggut desert own stable and abundant snow cover in winter. Moisturizing and warming effects of snow cover will provide well condition for the growth of desert ephemeral plants. However, the desert ephemeral plant can make use of favorable conditions in the early spring of two months to complete the whole process of rapid growth. They have an important role in the formation and succession of plant community, as well as sand-fixation. Junggar desert well-developed herbaceous layer was mainly related to the existence of stable snow cover in winter. A comprehensive understanding of the ephemeral plant -AM fungi (arbuscular mycorrhizal) relationship how to respond to changes in snowfall will influence the stability of desert ecosystem is the key to reveal the climatic and environmental changes under maintenance mechanism. However, it is not clear whether there is interaction influence between AM fungi and snow change, how about the growth and reproductive characteristics of ephemeral plants response to the interaction influence..This project will be carried out at the Junggar desert ecosystem long-term monitoring plots. Based on the field snow control method and analysis in laboratory, we want to verify scientific hypotheses that species and functional group combination of native AM fungi can respond quickly to change of snow cover, then influence the character of ephemeral plant seeds, seed germination and seedling growth. At last, the symbiotic relationship the ephemeral plants of -AM fungi will be changed; the degree of influence will be mainly related to different ephemeral plant mycorrhizal dependency of decision. Our results will provide scientific data for speculating the adaptation mechanism of desert ephemerals under winter precipitation change and improve the whole desert ecosystem conservation.
