英文简介Climate change adaptation is one of major global challenges to solve the world's food supply and ease hunger. Cultivated land use is one activity intensively reflecting human’s climate change adaptation. Cultivated land use adaptation level of climate change has a direct impact on the supply of food, feed and fabrics and other products, and then affects national food security as well as social-economic sustainable development. . The southeast of Henan province is located in the transition region from subtropics to warm temperate zone, which is the core area of grain production, has high sensitivity and vulnerability to climate change. Based on the study frame of “climate change — cultivated land use adaptation —implementation effect assessment”, using multi-source data of meteorological data, field observation data of vegetation and soil, remote sensing image and social-economic investigation data of the southeast of Henan province, this program will research the temporal and spatial variation of climate change in the last 30 years, identify and confirm the adaptive strategies adopted by farmers, quantitatively analyze the relations between cultivated land use adaptation and regional climate change, establish farmer’s climate change perception and adaptation models, and reveal the factors driving (or breaking) cultivated land use adaptation. An indicator system and a comprehensive assessment model will be set up to assess the social-economic and eco-environmental effects of adaptive strategies, reveal the importance of scientific cultivated land use adaptive strategies in response to climate change. The key factors leading to negative effects of cultivated land use adaptation, and the key issues to be solved will be identified. The space distribution pattern of implementation effects and the trouble areas of cultivated land use adaptation will also be determined. This study can supply a scientific basis for the decision-making in cultivated land resource protection, consolidation, sustainable utilization and food security.
