| 英文简介 | Funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Basic Research Program of China and International Science & Technology Cooperation Program of China, the applicant has been conducting the study on land use/land cover change (LUCC) and its drive forces and ecological effects in arid typical watersheds and Central Asia. Innovative findings include stability of oasis, characterization of processes, status and trend of LUCC in oases and its driving mechanism and temporal-spatial simulation, ecological effects of land exploitation and grazing in arid regions, sustainable land use models for arid lands, change in alpine treeline which is a LUCC type in mountainous region..Taking the typical Sangong oasis as a study area, this project will investigate the stability of oasis based on its weaknesses in the processes of research. Firstly, we will develop an oasis-desert ecosystem model (ODEM) by adding specific processes of oasis management and photosynthate partitioning of desert vegetation to a fully self-developed arid ecosystem model which was successfully applied to central Asia. Then the ODEM will be used to study the stability of oasis based on the process of carbon and water cycling and principle of energy balance..Regarding the topic, we focus on the process of water-carbon cycling of oasis-desert ecosystem, the survival environmental conditions for desert vegetation, and the effect of water resources use of oasis on the productivity of desert vegetation in the periphery of oasis and its distribution pattern， which will reveal the mechanism of oasis stability from the aspect of material cycle . This will facilitate the advances in oasis ecology of arid land. |
