英文简介Drought is one of the most significant meteorological disasters that threaten agriculture in Tibet. Occurring every year and varying in extent, drought in Tibet brings serious influence to living of Tibet farmer and herdsman. In this project,the retrieved Enhanced Vegitation Index (EVI) and Land Surface Temperature (TS) products from MODIS, combined with FY-3 VIRR products, are used to determine the dry edge and wete edge parameters of EVI-TS triangular feature space, to construct the TVDI based on EVI-TS, leading to a set of drought evaluation indices and methods which is suitable to Tibet, integrated with the climate and soil characters of north Tibet. The TVDI index is validated with in-situ measurements by apparatuses of soil moisture meter. The uncertainty is analyzed through Monte-Carlo technique, in order to precisely estimate and calculate the drought area in northern Tibet in spring and summer from 2009 to 2016.
