英文摘要	In this article, we start from the idea of social reproduction of the subjects to address the relationship between needs and satisfactions implicit in the complex and multidimensional problems of the families of a small rural community in poverty and marginalization in the Mexican semi-arid northeast. The social reproduction of the subjects, in this case, rural families, unfolds in various structural frameworks. The work is based on a research begun in 2008 in an Ejido of the semi-arid southern region of Nuevo Leon, in northern Mexico, using a qualitative methodology with ethnographic design. The purpose of this article is to expose the activities of the process of domestic social reproduction through which the families of the study meet diverse needs, and how these activities relate to structural frameworks such as the environment, the economic and the cultural. The activities that are addressed in this work have to do, mainly, with the construction and maintenance of housing, unpaid domestic work, health care and supply.
