| 英文摘要 | The study investigated the contribution of collective action groups (CAGs) in improving the socioeconomic wellbeing (SEWB) of agropastoralists. Two hundred and four households that were members of CAGs were interviewed. There were 159 CAGs involved in nine different activities with an average of 25 members who were mainly females (81%) and married (69.6%). CAGs contributed highly to SEWB(mean 5.41 on a scale of 1-7) and the results were statistically (p <= .01) significant. The study concluded that CAGs were useful in enhancing the SEWB of the agro-pastoral communities in Makindu sub-county and could be used as a vehicle for community development. |
