英文摘要	This article brings together a set of ongoing research data on the PNCF in Brazil and specifically in Rio Grande do Norte. The research is devoted to ruralities in Brazil and new field-city configurations, in the regional debate. For the systematization of this scientific communication a secondary database from the Subsecretaria Nacional de Reorde-namento Agrario e Secretaria de Estado de Assuntos Fundiarios e Apoio a Reforma Agraria/ RN is used, and also to the primary data, gathered through an interview with the representative of the Unidade Tecnica Estadual/RN. With this, it was possible to construct a provisional mapping and present the results that follow: the program operates in 21 federal units, financing 44,629 areas, with 99,107 families served in the Combating Rural Poverty, Consolidation of Family Agriculture and Our First Land. The investment amount of R$ 2,318,746,172.00 in Sub-Projects of Land Acquisition and Subprojects of Community and Basic Investments. In Rio Grande do Norte, the PNCF is present in 77% of the municipalities, financing 846 areas through CPR and CAF credit lines, from which 484 for the CPR line and 362 for the CAF modality, serving 5,833 families. 97.8% of these settlements are in the semi-arid Potiguar region, which covers 88% of its territory. The technical, academic and political debate on "agrarian question" in Brazil continues to challenge in a decisive way the contemporary debate on regional development.
