英文摘要	The objective of the present study was to determine the behavior of the climate variable "Precipitation" in the Southern Region of the Ecuador (RSE) for its application to different projects related to economic and social aspects at the RSE and is a continuation of the work done previously with variables as temperatures (average, minimum and maximum), global solar radiation, speed wind and real evapotranspiration in the Area of the Energy, Non-Renewable Resources and Industries and the Area of Agricultural and the Natural Renewable Resources of the National University of Loja when series of global solar radiation, wind speed, temperatures and evapotranspiration were modeled. The series of meteorological precipitation information available were processed and completed and later maps of this element of the climate for the Southern Region of Ecuador, were obtained as well as monthly and annual differences between precipitation and the real evapotranspiration. This study was carried out from August of 2016 until January 2017. 15 weather stations of the National Institute of meteorology and hydrology of Ecuador (INAMHI) for a period of 21 years (1991-2011), were included although they were extrapolated to the year 2015. Statistical methods for the completion of the series and Geomatics methods for the preparation of thematic maps were used.
