The Night Sky as Weather Scenario: a Possibility for Astronomy Education

英文摘要In this study, we seek to show the results of a didactic strategy for education in astronomy. In the format of a workshop, this study was developed with elementary school students of a Family Farm School of the Semi-arid region of Bahia, focusing the mythical narratives of the constellations in order to evaluate how these narratives can contribute to a better comprehension of concepts involving the constellations and year seasons. Through this workshop, it was possible to develop important ideas about the seasons and their relations with the constellations, extending the knowledge presented in textbooks, far from the reality of the students. Thus, the use of mythic narratives seemed to facilitate the learning of a diversity of meanings given to the constellations, previously unknown by the students.
