英文摘要	The theme of fatal women appears in Bulgarian literature between the first and second half of the 20th century for the first time in the novella 'The Peach Thief' and in the novels 'Lieutenant Bentz' and 'Tobacco' by Dimitar Dimov. The plot of the novella has many layers, but the one about decay and aging predominates. The chronotopic and landscape descriptions create an apocalyptic view of the world and relate to the colonel who has lost his human identity and is Elisaveta's husband. The object background also adds to the idea of the absurdity of the world. The colonel's villa is on the outskirts of the town and alludes to the declining life functions. The story line focuses on Lisa. The summer scenery, with the land and the unhealthy view of the country side, has peculiar suggestiveness. It is in harmony with the mind of the heroine, with her nature, craving passion. Liza will desert her former world by leaving it literally - in space, and emotionally - with her romantic relationship with Ivo. In love she finds freedom and happiness, which she has never experienced before as she has voluntarily agreed to serve prejudice and habit. She abandons provincial manners in order to live with the world and its universal values.
