| 英文摘要 | Reductions or local area missions were called Lentiviral by the Jesuits in South America at the beginning of s. XVII and were in development and activity until the expulsion of the Society of Jesus, ordered in 1767 by King Charles III and even then, already in decline, until the early nineteenth century. Over that half century, the Jesuits settled in their quests to tens of thousands of Guarani giving them a Christian education, clothing and feeding and teaching them reading and writing Spanish and Guarani. In addition, the Jesuits organized the agricultural productive work In middle of s. XVIII, began the Guarani War. The indigenous were forced to fight the armies of Spain and Portugal, but finally they were vanquished. As a result of the Guarani War, Spanish Crown decided to expel the Jesuits from their colonies in the River Plate and the missions were deserted and in ruins at the beginning of s. XIX. |
