英文摘要	This paper presents the results obtained in the study on the recovered fauna in La Perra Fort, (La Pampa, Loventue), which served as a guard post between 1883 and 1885, a few years after the desert conquest. We'll take into account the taxonomic and anatomic composition of the sample, the natural and anthropic agents which would have taken part in the formation of the archaeological record: weathering, thermal alteration, butchering marks, fractures, carnivores and roots marks. All this information makes possible the discussion about the differences in the consumption of the various species according to the type and distribution of the fractures, the butchering marks and thermal alteration. The zooarchaeological data are interrelated to written references about faunal consumption in the military settlements. We expect these results could contribute to the archaeological knowledge on domestic life in the last 'pampeanos' forts and study their relationship with the thought and speech of the ideologists of the argentine state-nation.
