英文摘要This article proposes a critical comment on one of two basic categories proposed by Bolano, for the development of the novel 2666: the other rationality. It proposes a study of the ways in which the author develops the realm of the suburbs in its five parts; and uses categories as horror, chaos, desert, place of confinement, sleep, subjects of the abyss, and pain and suicide, to build a facet of his fictional universe. During the analysis, the concept of 'idea-game' will be discussed as a key part of the proposed ethics and aesthetics in the novel.
