英文摘要	The zones of arid and semiarid climates that include the States of Falcon, Lara and Zulia in northwestern Venezuela, have rural communities that have been very depressed economically and socially for a long time. This study presents a proposal for a 2100-hectare technical productive farm for arid climates to cultivate Prosopis juliflora (Carob or Cuji) and produce: timber for construction, ethanol for vehicle use, monogastric feed, highly digestible feed for ruminants, honey and gummy exudates for food use and as specialties, sweetening syrups, flours, juices, charcoal for smoking or roasting and tannin for tanneries. To make this proposal sustainable, the use of clean energy is included for consumption on the farm in the form of a solar concentration park to generate steam and electricity, photovoltaic cells and solar concentrators for producing drinking and industrial water.
