英文摘要	Since time immemorial man's Brazilian semiarid region has experienced the "hard way" because of water scarcity. Thus, it has become essential to managing water resources to provide water availability and life improvement. In this sense, the Semi-Arid Articulation (ASA) has developed the One Million Rural Cisterns (P1MC), based on the use of rain water to meet the water demands and to enable more harmonious coexistence between the Semiarid population. Bearing in mind the assumptions P1MC, the present study aimed to evaluate the tank plate as a model of water resource management and analyze the perception of households about the benefits and possible problems attributed to deployment P1MC. How conclusive results of the research showed that beneficiary families P1MC declared satisfactory performance P1MC, and are unanimous in taking this program as a provider of life improvements. However, it is emphasized that the reports of errors P1MC stopped due to lack of monitoring problems (cracks, leaks, etc.), and follow not the desires (higher water availability) families.
