英文摘要	The objective was to analyze the socioeconomic conditions of the inhabitants of the settlement Santo Antonio, in the city of Cajazeiras - High Paraiba backwoods, showing the period of transition, between the permanence of these small producers in the area after expropriation, their conflict and adaptations to the new Indeed, the move from sharecroppers to landowners, as they see it produce its own food in the face of many difficulties due to lack of infrastructure and public politics. The research literature is of order, organized through reference books, current books of readings, articles and national scientific journals, visistas spot and questionnaires. The importance is to demonstrate new dynamics within the agrarian space, the movement of these social actors, in front of complex and conflicting front building and interaction with that space is ripe for a new logic and design of seeing, work and build a semi-arid with practices healthy agricultural geared towards sustainable agriculture that ensures the preservation of natural resources and at the same time will provide food security and an improved quality of life for them.
