英文摘要 | Decreasing and continuously shrinking of water sources quality, having to human survival vital importance, has become a global trend. The negative impact of climate change, environmental degradation, dramatic population growth and steadily increasing demand for the agriculture, industry and households also develops more and more pressure on their existing resources, which makes the situation unsustainable in the long term. The main crisis is likely to come from a fact, that some countries will find it difficult to manage such problems. A third of the world's population lives in water-stressed countries now and by 2025, this is expected to rise to two thirds. For millions of people around the world, getting their right to water is becoming a matter of life or death. As water is becoming scarce, states will lead to focus greater attention on its distribution, which on the one hand, may increase political interest in the issue of water, but also, with the very high numbers of international water courses which are shared between countries, lead to a deepening of existing tensions in some regions. But it is more likely that international water disputes will be resolved peacefully, even as conflicts erupt over other issues. Globally, instances of cooperation have outnumbered water-related conflicts more than twice during the period from the middle of last century and the number of water-based cooperation projects is still increasing. Based on these facts more and more attention is paid to the cooperative aspects of shared water resources. However, at the same time it is not possible to meet the needs of all people. And that is why the conflict seems to be in some cases, mostly in arid countries already suffering from acute water scarcity, inevitable in the future. |
