英文摘要	A new method for increasing the longevity of protective forest plantations in arid regions, in order to preserve their meliorative influence on adjoining agricultural lands, is described in this article. Also described is the development of a new machine for the rejuvenation of forest plantations using a hydraulic drive and cutting unit aggregated on a 1.4 class tractor by means of special equipment.
