| 英文摘要 | There is a colourful assembly of plane patterns which has a common characteristic that more than one types of plane symmetry patterns can be recognized on them. One part of them is separable to two or more subsystems (Curie-type patterns), the other part of them is not separable, because they are strongly connected (Coxeter-type patterns). Using both the older Coxeter-type (Coxeter, 1986) and the newer Curie-type (Berczi, 2004) classifications of the plane symmetry patterns, give us a wide range of distinction and classification possibilities for the rich ornamental art pattern heritage of the old Eurasian communities. In this paper we focus on exceptionally rich regions showing the variants. Such localities are in the European Celtic world, in the South-Siberian and Altai-Mountains region (Russia, Mongolia, China), and in the Takla-Makan Desert Region of China. |
