英文摘要	Desertification, along with soil erosion, constitutes the main environmental and socioeconomic problem of the southeast of Spain. For that reason, research aiming on determination of regions susceptibility to erosion, can be helpful for land use decision making. The methodology developed in this work, based on remote sensing, field radiometry and GIS, is orientated to determine the susceptibility to erosion in a sector of the Almanzora basin. The procedure consists on a first stage of lithological and geomorphological characterization applying techniques of enhancements and transformations of remote sensing images, and supported on image classification using measurements of field radiometry. On a second stage a series of erosive classes have been defined, and an image supervised classification procedure has been executed to obtain the map of erosive classes. Finally, based on the susceptibility to erosion of each class, the map of erosive levels has been elaborated. This tool easily makes possible to interpret the intensity of erosive processes and their spatial distribution, which follows geology patterns. From the analysis of this map, it is concluded that Almanzora basin has serious problems with soil erosion, with a large surface of high susceptibility (levels 1, 2 and 3).
