英文摘要	The experiments were conducted at experimental field of Agricultural Faculty, Trakya University in Tekirdag during 1998-1999 growing seasons with 8 bread wheat cultivars and 19 bread wheat advanced promising lines. The correlation coefficients among grain yield, grain filling period, plant height, flag leaf area per plant, stomata number, waxiness rate per plant, leaf retention ability at 4-5 leaves period, heading time and path analyses for grain yield were studied in the research. According to the results of correlation and path analyses initial water content in both periods, grain filling period and flag leaf area were found the most important selection criteria on drought for Thrace Region where the amount of rainfall is variable. The effect of waxiness on grain yield was non-significant. Furthermore, it was noted that waxiness could have inhibiting influence on yield for semi-arid regions such as Thrace.
