英文摘要 | Objective: We prospectively evaluated safety and clinical efficacy of an active bone conduction implant, named Conebridge, in patients with :::-onductive hearing, loss (CHL).Perforr.nance was cc.,i-rIpared with the preoperatve aided condition_ Methods: Nh-le Cutch-speakng patients were implanted with Bonebridge h--1 a single te.rtary referral center and were followed Lip tor 4 years and 11 months Miean). Six patie.nts had CHL, one had mixed hearing:. loss NHL), and two had single -sided deafness. Pre.c.)pe.rative.ly, patients vvete fitted vvith COnVel'Itional air conduction heari:-T aid.,HA);.-.3.ndlor a bor:e--al'ICJIO:ed HA processor wo:r: on a headband. intra--- al:1d postoperative complication rates were assessea '3, a patients.. Five paf;ents with CHL/MHL part:lcipated in an extensive audiological evaluation, inciLiding regular measurenvents of hearing tilresholds (air and bone conducticNn) speech reception in *.:Iniet ',consonant vowel On 50 nant Or CVC words) and noise sentences), and subjectve satisfaction (Abbreviated Profile of Hearing Ad Benefit questionnaire and the Speech, Sp:atial and Qualities of Hearing Scale). Results: Patients' residual hearing:. was not deteriorated by the implantation. and no adve:se e.vents we :e reported. CHL and NAHL oases n-ledian flinetiOnal gain was 20 dB at activation and remaii:led stable ti-:ereafte4. After 3 mo:-:t.ns, ti:le median wo:d recognitior: score r qu'let at 40 dB A was 80%. The medlan speech reception threshold in no'lse was 4.8 ciB signal to noise ratio 1 year postoperatively. Coniparison with preoperative scores with a b*.pne COndUCtiOn device on a headband revealed 110 significant differences. Questi*.pnnaires demonstrated subjective satisfactnon. Stable Performance was observed along the e.ntre follow-up period_ Conclusion: Etonebridge can be considered o safe and effective treatment option for patients with CHL. |
