Alteration Anomaly By Remote Sensing Information Extraction in the WenGen Region, Inner Mongolia

WenGen region, Inner Mongolia, located in Lang Mountain metallogenic belt, belongs to semi-arid mountainous area, which is an ideal exploration target by Remote Sensing (RS) method. In this paper, ETM + data was used to interpret the geological structure and extract the alteration information, so as to make metallogenic prediction. Alteration information extraction was adopted in the method of Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and ratio analysis, which is able to eliminate the interference factors in the remote sensing image and enhance the alteration information. We extracted alteration anomalies by the threshold method. In this paper, we made a comprehensive analysis on the remote sensing alteration information and field geological investigation results, and correlated the remote sensing alteration information with specific geological elements of study area.(1)
