In this paper, a typical regional of ecotone Wengniute as the research object, using RS and GIS techniques and the use of 1:50000 DEM data extraction slope information in the study area, while the introduction of the regional meteorological data, soil dryness data, land use and vegetation cover data, obtaining the degree of Wengniute soil wind erosion, the risk assessment can be carried out by quantitative analysis of soil erosion. The results show that the degree of soil erosion in the study area is divided into five levels, soil without risk areas only accounted for 15.05 percent of the total land area, high-risk areas and high risk areas accounted for 41.47 percent of the total land area. Therefore, the area of desertification prevention and control tasks still arduous.
